Josie Hammond is the National Director of Employee Benefit Plan Services for RSM US LLP. In this role, she is responsible for development and delivery of the firm’s employee benefit plan training and audit methodology, which is used by RSM auditors in more than 2,500 audits per year, as well as by alliance and subscriber firms. Josie also is the firm’s technical leader for difficult and challenging audit and accounting matters affecting the benefit plan practice, and is responsible for publishing the firm’s positions on proposed audit and accounting pronouncements related to employee benefit plans. She has more than 23 years of experience in auditing single-employer and multi-employer plans as well as plans with a variety of funding arrangements, including defined benefit and defined contribution pension plans, 401(k) plans, ESOPs, health and welfare plans, master trusts and 103-12 investment entities. Josie is an active member of the AICPA Employee Benefit Plan Expert Panel and its various taskforces. She continues to be a significant contributor to the AICPA Audit and Accounting Guide for employee benefit plans and currently is serving two consecutive years as audit guide chair.
