Marilee Lau provides consulting services to firms specializing in employee benefit plans which include practice and in house engagement reviews. She also presents and teaches various educational programs on accounting and auditing for employee benefit plans. Before retiring in 2009, Marilee was the National Partner in Charge of KPMG’s Employee Benefit Plan Audit Practice.

Marcus Aron

Marcus J. Aron, CPA, CGMA Senior Auditor Division of Accounting Services Employee Benefits Security Administration U.S. Department of Labor Washington, D.C. Mr. Aron has over twenty-five years of experience in working with audits of ERISA-covered plans. He is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of EBSA’s CPA Firm Inspection Program, providing technical assistance to plan filers and plan professionals, and providing ERISA-related accounting and auditing expertise within EBSA. Mr. Aron is a certified public accountant and holds a B.B.A.

Megan Knoblauch

Megan Knoblauch is a Partner in RubinBrown's Assurance Services Group. She has been practicing public accounting since 2006, primarily serving employee benefit plans and manufacturing and distribution companies. She specializes in all aspects of employee benefit plan audits, including 401(k) plans, pension plans, health and welfare plans and SEC Form 11-K filing requirements. Megan also has extensive experience with Taft-Hartley plans.

Robert Cote

Bob is the principal of Coté and Company, APC in San Francisco, California. He specializes in the audits of employee benefit plans as well as non-profit organizations. He is a past member of the AICPA’s Employee Benefit Plans Experts Panel (1992 – 1994 and 2007 – 2009) and the AICPA’s PCPS’s Technical Issues Committee (2010 – 2012). He was a co-author of CCH’s Knowledge-Based Audits of Employee Benefit Plans.
