This session will provide a understanding of health and welfare employee benefit plans, including various type of health and welfare arrangements, key roles and responsibilities, the annual health care process and claims processing cycle, and tax status and tax concerns of health and welfare employee benefit plans.

Attendees will:

  • Discuss types of health and welfare arrangements (e.g. indemnity, self-insured, HSA, FSA, HRA,EGWP)
  • Understand the roles and responsibilities of the employer, employees and different service providers (TPA, insurer, trustee, recordkeeper)
