Audit and Accounting for Investments

This class is intended to provide a practical overview of the various inputs and techniques for valuing investments including readily determined fair values and the net asset value, practical expedient. We will also review reporting requirements and auditing procedures for both limited and full scope audits. After this session, participants will be able to:
- Apply various investment valuation inputs to properly account for each and the related financial statement disclosures.
- Determine auditing procedures for investments.
- Apply their knowledge to an audit of an employee benefit plan.
